My version of Windows 7 Ultimate is a retail ane. All the same, I decided to phone Microsoft UK today and they are updating my current 32 scrap operating system to Windows 64 chip totally gratis of charge!!
Ane of their Level 2 squad doing this past remote admission in a week'south time which gives me enough time to not only back up all my files, but likewise find if there are any 64 bit versions of my 3rd party software.
I will keep you lot up to appointment with developments and may have to contact you again should I run into problems that I'1000 unable to fix.

Microsoft United statesA. or UK division(due south) take no way to simply Upgrade Windows 7 32BIT to Win 7 64BIT,merely a new OS installation will piece of work..Also,forget all the current 32BIT 3rd party software currently installed,it volition not run with 64BIT Os,all must be reinstalled..To reinstall Windows,starting time pc in BIOS (F2) primal,install the Win vii 64BIT OS cd,gear up the cd as 1st kick priority,Hard disk drive second,relieve & leave BIOS..Look for Press whatsoever key to kicking to cd,at Os bill of fare,delete partition/create one/format/use default settings.Unplug all just mouse & keyboard for install..Thats all you need,merely where does Microsoft United kingdom come up with a programme to modify Os settings from 32BIT to 64BIT,tin't be done w/o the new install..Sure youre talking to a Tech IT worker,or maybe you talked to building. mntce dept.......
